Amanda's Freebirth
I am always so humbled to be invited into the intimate, raw, vulnerable event that is birth. This is the second birth I have photographed for Amanda, and she has become a friend.
Amanda labored during the day, comforted and surrounded by her supportive partner, who encouraged her every step of the way. At times of wondering if she could continue, she continued to step into her strength and labor on. At 7:12pm, she welcomed her baby boy, Ryver, into the world. He was over 10lbs!
Our bodies are incredible; they are powerful, and I am so proud of Amanda and her strength and resilience. I am thankful for her trust in me to capture and tell her story.
